A domino effect is the cumulative effect produced when one event sets off a chain of similar events. It typically refers to a linked sequence of events where the time between successive events is relatively small. Matthew Fox visited us in order to promote his film Alex Cross so we designed a domino effect full of action. Knowing that Matthew Fox like to go bowling we ask him to start the whole effect with a 100 bowling pins strike....
In physics, the center of mass of a distribution of mass in space is the unique point where the weighted relative position of the distributed mass sums to zero. The distribution of mass is balanced around the center of mass and the average of the weighted position coordinates of the distributed mass defines its coordinates. Balance is an ability to maintain the line of gravity (vertical line from centre of mass) of a body within the base of support with minimal postural sway. We use all this concepts together to create this beautiful mayfly...
Large annual spring break festivals take place in various countries, often in the form of music festivals and these are accompanied by special nightclub parties and beach activities. As Selena Gómez and Vanessa Hudgens were promoting the film Spring Breakers we prepared a domino effect on this theme. We brought sand from the beach and decorated the whole set with palms and hammocks. The tests to get the domino effect working were intense, but we got it working perfectly...
The computer is working funny. Let’s go inside and try to fix it. To get ready this performance we had to plan it carefully. Then shoot over green background. Get done some postproduction an perform plenty of rehearse. Many people were involved to get the...
Filmmaking involves a number of discrete stages including an initial story, idea, or commission, through scriptwriting, casting, shooting, editing, and screening the finished product before an audience that may result in a film release and exhibition. We condensed the movie making process into a machine that generates a film when you press its buttons....

His father, Joseph Ashby had posted a viral youtube video with his son’s mind-blowing basketball skills and I contacted them to invited his entire family to visit us so Titus could play against Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper and Julia Otero. It was a long trip but they finally made it. Three shows, three different previous actions and three games: Chanin Tatum, Bradley Cooper , Julia...
Tom Hanks was in Paris promoting his film Captain Philips. During his tour he wouldn’t stop in Spain so we decided to take a plane and set up our show in Paris for the occasion. We packed everything in a big truck and a 40 people team took the plain. In 24 hours the whole set was ready. I was in charge of the domino effect. We had to use different Sony devices and explain the plot of the movie. The whole system was assembled in Madrid and we had to make some minor adjustments once in Paris....
The forces that hold tape in place involve much weaker bonds than those in glue. On one side of the tape are pressure-sensitive adhesives. “Squeezing them against a surface doesn’t create very strong bonds, but rather a large number of weak bonds that cumulatively result in a good adhesion. Tape also stays stuck because of viscoelasticity. When we press tape against a wall, we force the sticky substance to flow and adapt to the microscopic corrugation of the wall surface. After you stop pressing, the tape resists flow and stays in place....
This room is very special, the floor appears to move while the rest of the room stays still. But actually a big structure floating over several air cushions moves on a stationary big white floor with no detail, to give the illusion that the floor is moving. And there I am! coordinating the movements of the team who was carrying the structure by walkie-talkie to get...
