Ben Stiller visited the show in order to promote his film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Inspired by one of the movie posters we decided to build a rotating movie set to create the illusion of being able to walk on the walls and the ceiling.
It required intense planning. We had a tight budget to work with so we couldn’t get the whole structure to rotate on an motorized axe. Instead, we planed to pull the set and roll it around.
We had just a weekend to get it the work done. So a team of welders and carpenters were working non stop. The furniture was fixed onto the floor and walls.
Finally we made up an excuse. A fused light bulb would do the trick. The results were magical
